Purpose of the Post
Under the immediate supervision of the Finance Officer and overall supervision of the Head, Financial Services, the incumbent is responsible for Receivable/Revenue accounting and related functions.

Required competencies
a) Demonstrated ability to work independently under general guidance, with high degree of initiative and judgement.
b) Demonstrated ability to multitask and to work under pressure, whilst maintaining accuracy with thoroughness and excellent attention to details.
c) Good organizational and analytical skills.
d) Good communication skills, ability to present issues in a clear manner.
e) Confidentiality and a high degree of tact and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels.
Professional Experience
At least six years’ progressive and relevant professional experience in finance and accounts.
Education
Secondary education to university entrance standard. University degree in finance/accounting or with professional qualification will be desirable and advantageous.
Language Skills
Excellent proficiency in English, knowledge of other official languages of the UN will be an asset.
Other Skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Word and Excel. Experience in using a financial system will be advantageous.
